We are happy to hear about the visits in East, we are having lunch and dinner with partners who will help us build our infrastructure and labour. We will probably build more superhighways which will be continuation of the Kibaki Legacy.
All in all we may be doing the right
thing but let us not openly show that we are moving from the west,
lets stop being proud and face the fact that majority of our exports
go to the west(Even though they buy our coffee and tea and brand as
their own), the east grow their own tea and coffee and buy almost
(import) nothing from us.
A clear warning is what happened to ban
on Miraa exports, people have lost Jobs and Source of income. Common
mwanchi has to pay about Ksh 400,000 to get a Visa, we would be proud
and say our safe Heaven are down here and we do not need to travel,
but what about students who want to further their studies? The
question is, Are we paying a price?
The East tend to be more friendly and
honest while the west tend to be harsh with aid that has strings
attached, The west should change and become aware that we are free to
make our own choices, we can always work together without conditions.
As much as we move to East we still need the west.
