Saturday Newspaper.
These are my thoughts that you can agree
with or ignore but either way someone will appreciate or criticize but
am open to a debate.
What happened to the laptop project? Did Kaimenyi Fail in his job?
The reason why the tender was canceled is because of hungry wolfs in the
system that we have to work hard to feed. Why cant we be honest and
give the right quotation or figures that add up and in the long run cut
cost on the national expenditure? I dont know which school did most of
these goverment officials go to, where they were not taught ethics and integrity when serving their own country. We blame everyone and try to
look for excuses why we are still a developing country, in 1963 we were
in the same position with China and Malysia. What happened in Our
country that slowed our growth?
1. Toa Kitu Kidogo -
It possible that the tendering process must have involved alot of
bribing to be awarded the tender. Corruption is root cause of stagnant
growth of this country. I feel disturbed when the government talks of
cutting the wage bill and retrenching some of its workers (Its worse to
be jobless in your Fifties than in your twenties- Research has shown
that people retrenched in this age live less than those who normally
retire.). When you cut their wages they are likely to be involved in
other illegal or toa Kidogo to supplement their income. Its a good move
though but weigh the options, If i was given that power to decide, first
would be to set tough measures against any government official involved in
corruption like i would recommend chopping of both hands cos its stealing from the people who work hard to pay taxes..
2.
Haki Yetu- We always think its our right to have our way always. We
even take to the streets to tell everyone about it. Some go to the
extend of mass action- an act that destroyed what Kibaki had spend Five
years building. Before 2008 Violence the economy was growing at an
exponential rate( I dont have the figures to be exact) then came the
Mass action which reduced this country to Zero. I dont mean to remind
you of the past that you do not want to remember but am only going to
stop if you promise me it will never happen again. Never again will we
rise against our own brother only because they are born of a certain
tribe.
3. Serikali Isaidie- The mentality of always
asking government to help us even on problems that we can solve or we
are the root cause. Like how does a man go ahead and make 12 babies then
later talk of asking for government help to raise the Kids, Its your problem go ahead an fix it, learn about family planning.
4.
Mtu wetu- In the 21 st century we are still divided based on tribal
lines. Like i will only vote that leader since he is from our tribe.
What a backward mentality? We should vote for a leader that stands for
the values and have a vision for this country. It does not matter where
or who is.
